Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride

Skin Conditioning Agent

This is derived from coconut oil and glycerin. It smooths skin, provides antioxidant benefits, binds other ingredients together, and helps to preserve other active ingredients.

Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil

Skin Conditioning Agent

Sunflower oil is extracted from the seeds of sunflowers, and is rich in calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin K, and vitamin E. It's used to reduce inflammation, trap moisture,  prevent UV light damage, and protect both collagen and elastin levels. 

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice

Skin Conditioning Agent

Derived from the Aloe leaves, the juice can help soothe the skin with it's anti-inflammatory properties. Aloe vitamins and minerals help to protect against free radical damage and promote healthy skin.

Cetearyl Alcohol

Emulsifier

Cetearyl Alcohol is a white, waxy mixture of two fatty alcohols: cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol. Both this and Polysorbate 60 are emulsifiers that work to create smoother and thicker products with better textures.

Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter

Skin Conditioning Agent

Derived from the African Shea Seed, this butter forms a protective layer on the skin which reduces the skin's water loss and better retains water. It is an excellent skin conditioning agent and helps to thicken the formula.

Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil

Skin Conditioning Agent

Coconut Oil is a creamy white solid fat that quickly absorbs into the skin. It's a very effective skin moisturizer, and ideal for anyone with dry skin.

Glyceryl Stearate SE

Emulsifier

Glyceryl Stearate SE is a vegetable-based emulsifier. It is created using both Glycerin and Stearic Acid.

Humectant & Moisturiser

Glycerin is a humectant that lubricates the skin. It is used in most topical products where moisture retention is important.

Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil

Skin Conditioning Agent

Meadowfoam Oil is resistant to oxidation from tocopherols, and is an incredibly stable fat that extends the shelf life of less stable ingredients. It has wonderful moisturizing and rejuvenating properties.

Propandiol

Skin Conditioning Agent

With a plant-based origin, Propanediol is a biodegradable and plant-based solvent. It is used as an alternative to petroleum-based Glycols, and is used to improve the product's viscosity, non-irritating properties, clarity, and anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. 

Mel (Honey) Extract

Homectant, Skin Soothing & Conditioning Agent

Honey Extract acts as a natural humectant and soothing agent. It is a product of honey bees, and provides excellent moisturizing and emollient properties. It is also an anti-irritant, which makes it great for any sensitive skin and baby products.

Avena sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract

Active

This finely ground version of whole oat kernels provides relief against eczema, allergic rashes, chicken pox, and insect bites. It also contains natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can decrease skin redness and itchiness due to allergic and not allergic inflammation.

Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil

This is a natural ingredient derived from the seeds of the Simmondsia chinensis desert shrub. It's an effective emollient and gives the skin a soft and smooth appearance.

Vitamin E (a.k.a. Tocopherol) is combined with Soybean Oil to help extend the shelf-life of oils in the products. It also has antioxidant properties to help protect the skin from cell damage.

Arrowroot powder is obtained from the rhizomes of the tropical Maranta arundinacea plant. It is used in many cosmetic products for its therapeutic and soothing properties.

Xanthan gum is a sugar-based polymer produced by bacteria. It is used to improve the viscosity of various products.

Chamomilla Recutita (Chamomile) Flower Oil

Potassium Sorbate

Potassium Sorbate is a natural potassium salt of sorbic acid, which when dissolved in water-based products is effective against yeast, mold and select bacteria. When used alongside other perservatives, Potassium Sorbate is very effective in extending the shelf-life of cosmetics.

Gluconolactone

Geogard Ultra is a preservative blend comprised of gluconolactone and sodium benzoate. It has antibacterial and antifungal properties, and major skin moisturisation benefits. With the addition of calcium gluconate, it leads to decreased skin irritation.
